These events were becoming increasingly difficult to manage \u2013 not because of a lack of willingness, but due to limited staff resources, lengthy preparation times and growing operational pressures. <\/p>\n<p>There was a real risk that key events \u2013 including the summer community festival \u2013 would have to be scaled back or cancelled. At the same time, parking and traffic management around the events regularly gave rise to complaints from residents. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading container\">Background<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"container wp-block-paragraph\">Southern Housing needed a reliable partner who could support events safely, smoothly and consistently \u2013 not just in terms of logistics, but with an understanding of what a community event means to residents.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading container\">Our approach<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"container wp-block-paragraph\">As a long-standing partner, UKCPM has worked closely with Southern Housing to understand the practical challenges of event delivery and to manage them operationally.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"container\"><strong>Traffic management and road closures<\/strong> around the event venues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"container\"><strong>Decorating and general<\/strong> on-site support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"container\"><strong>Event set-up and logistics<\/strong> \u2013 from set-up to dismantling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"container\"><strong>A dedicated team of volunteers<\/strong> from the UKCPM team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"container wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Going beyond the contract:<\/strong> After noticing that the existing Christmas decorations were looking a bit worn, we donated and installed Christmas decorations worth \u00a3200 \u2013 not because it was in the contract, but because it made a real difference to the residents\u2019 experience.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading container\">Result:<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"container wp-block-paragraph\">With UKCPM\u2019s support, the events were easier to organise \u2013 and provided a more positive experience for residents.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"container\">To ease the workload of the housing teams during the event.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"container\"><strong>A more professional approach<\/strong> and a smoother process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"container\"><strong>Fewer complaints<\/strong> thanks to improved traffic management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"container\"><strong>Set-up time for decorations<\/strong> and equipment has been reduced from several hours <strong>to 10\u201320 minutes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"container\"><strong>The successful staging of events <\/strong>that would otherwise have been at risk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"container wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A greater contribution to social value across the partnership:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"container\"><strong>\u00a397,400<\/strong> to Southern Housing\u2019s Fresh Visions charity through the PCN Revenue Share Initiative over the past two years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"container\"><strong>\u00a3500<\/strong> to London food banks through accompanying fundraising initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n    <section class=\"badge-section\">\n        <div class=\"container\">\n\n            \n            <div class=\"badge-section__grid\">\n\n                \n                    <div class=\"badge-item\" >\n\n                                                    <div class=\"badge-item__icon\"  style=\"background-color: #d9a068;\">\n                                <img decoding=\"async\"\n                                    src=\"https:\/\/www.sevoria-parking.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/buildings-light.svg\"\n                                    alt=\"A simple, minimalist outline of two buildings\u2014one tall and one short\u2014drawn with light yellow lines on a white background, evokes the clean architectural style often seen in Germany.
