Fully booked pitches do not mean that everyone is your guest.
Blocked parking spaces, complaints at reception, negative reviews due to parking – first impressions are formed in the car park, not in the lobby. We ensure that guest parking spaces are actually kept free for guests. ANPR-supported, fully managed, at no cost to you.
The problem
Guest car parks are taken up by commuters, people visiting neighbours or those parking briefly who have nothing to do with your establishment. Your guests arrive, can’t find a space and complain – at reception, in their feedback, and sometimes even directly in their Google review.
What may seem like a minor operational nuisance has a direct impact on reputation, average rating and return customer rate.
Our solution
Our ANPR system automatically recognises authorised vehicles – without your reception staff having to manually manage exceptions. Guests’ number plates are recorded at the time of booking or upon check-in via a digital guest invitation or a tablet at reception.
Unauthorised parkers are recorded and dealt with without your team having to intervene. For your guests, their arrival remains exactly what it should be: the start of a pleasant stay.
The three biggest parking problems
in the hospitality and leisure sectors.
Every home is different. However, we come across these situations in almost every initial consultation.
Local residents and commuters from neighbouring businesses – they park at your premises because it’s convenient. Meanwhile, your guests drive round the car park looking for a space or end up using public spaces instead. The first thing your guest says to your staff is a complaint – not a “Good morning”.
Exceptions for overnight guests, goodwill gestures for conference attendees, discussions with gym members about their parking times – your front desk is wasting valuable time on one issue. And every manual exception is a potential source of error.
A Google review stating “Couldn’t find a parking space” or “Unfair parking fine” continues to have an impact for weeks afterwards and influences booking decisions beyond the individual guest. When parking becomes a reputational risk, it’s time to find a partner who understands this.
What our solution for the hospitality and leisure sector actually means
Barrier-free ANPR free-flow system
No barriers, no tickets, no queues at the entrance – not even when a coach or several guests arrive at the same time. Our cameras automatically record number plates as vehicles enter and leave. Authorised vehicles are recognised; unauthorised parkers are documented. For your guests, arriving is just as hassle-free as leaving.
Guest management without the hassle of a reception desk
Guest number plates are registered either at the time of booking or upon check-in, via a digital guest invitation during the booking process or using a tablet at reception. Your reception staff no longer need to manage manual exceptions, and guests can park without restriction from the moment they arrive. Even last-minute check-ins run smoothly.
Special cases taken into account: conferences, events, additional users
Fitness centre members, restaurant guests, conference attendees, spa visitors – each user group has different parking times and different access rights. We configure your system so that each group is assigned the correct rules, without your team having to think about it in their day-to-day work. Temporary arrangements for events or weddings can also be set up in just a few clicks.
One partner for all properties
Whether it’s a single hotel, a cluster, a fitness chain or a restaurant group: you’ll have a single point of contact for all locations, standardised reporting and the same quality of service – from the first pilot site right through to a nationwide roll-out.
Reputation protection through fair enforcement
Our enforcement process is documented, proportionate and transparent. Clear signage, fair grace periods, a transparent appeals process – managed via our online portal and documented in a legally compliant manner. A model that stands up to scrutiny in a Google review and which, if necessary, you can also defend to senior management, the franchise head office or the hotel chain.

Frequently asked questions from the hospitality and leisure sectors.
Last-minute check-ins work just as smoothly as scheduled arrivals: the number plate is recorded at reception during check-in via a tablet or a simple web interface – in under a minute, without any additional software. The guest can park straight away, without any hassle, without having to call back, and without the need for a manual exemption list.
No, that’s optional. Our solution works independently – via a digital guest invitation during the booking process or by scanning number plates at reception. Where a PMS is to be integrated, we assess the integration options on a case-by-case basis: Atria supports a wide range of integrations with third-party systems. We do not claim to support an interface until we have tested it with your system.
Each user group is assigned its own set of rules. Fitness members are granted access via a permit system (permanent or virtual); conference guests via time-limited licence plate lists; and restaurant guests via maximum parking times with optional validation – e.g. on the receipt. For events, weddings or seasonal special occasions, temporary rules can be activated in just a few clicks.
This is precisely what our enforcement process is designed for: clear signage, defined grace periods, a transparent online appeals process via our portal, and documented processing times. We do not escalate matters as a first resort and operate in a demonstrably fair manner – a model that protects your reputation and which you can use to your advantage in the event of a dispute with the franchise head office, operator or hotel chain.
For special vehicles – coaches, trailers, company vehicles without a registered number plate – we establish fixed procedures: either as a predefined exception group in the system or via a short registration form at reception. The aim is to ensure that nobody at your reception desk has to improvise.
